FAQ
- Who can I
bring to the Preview Sale??
- Answer : Due to space constraints, we evaluate
this policy after every sale. As we continue
to grow, eventually, space will only allow one person per
seller or volunteer.
- Currently, we DO allow
you to bring Your spouse and any of your dependent
children 10 and over. HOWEVER,
we can not allow you to bring anyone else, or anyone in
your spouse's place....not your mother, mother-in-law,
sister, friend, etc. As you can imagine,
allowing everyone to bring a guest would automatically
double the attendance which gets us in trouble with the
Fire Marshall and devalues your volunteer work and your
selling efforts. Thanks for your
understanding.

- Why do I have NUMBERS instead
of a BARCODE printing on my price
tags? Example: *00411606000N*
- Answer : You have not loaded the Carolina
Barcode font.
- When you open the barcode program
there is most likely a second paragraph that says "You
should not be able to read this paragraph."
After you open the labeling program look in the lower right
hand corner and you will see a "button" that says "FONTS."
Click on the button and this will open up a screen full of
"fonts." The fonts are in alphabetical order. You may have
to use the scroll bar on the right side of the screen
and scroll down until you see "CarolinaBar" and double click
on the icon. This barcode font will fill your screen, and at
the top of this screen will be a "DONE" button; click this
button and exit out of the program back to your desktop and
re-open the program. The paragraph that use to read
"You should not be able to read this. . ." should now look
like a barcode. You are now ready to enter labels.

- Why are there NO
BARCODES showing up on my Labels?
- Answer: There may be a few answers for this
question.
- 1. The first answer is maybe you did
not restart your computer after installing the barcode
program.
- 2. Or, you did not
load the barcode font (see answer #1 for details on
how).
- 3. Are you
considered the administrator of the computer you are working
on? If you do not have administrative rights on the computer
you are working on, this means that since you are not logged
in as administrator that the computer will not load programs
for you completely. You will need to get the administrator
of the computer to "uninstall" the barcode program, download
it again and reinstall it. Be sure to print out the
"How to Install" instructions from www.cccsale.com and follow the
install steps. This should fix your problem.
-
- When I
print my labels something is wrong with the format.
Why are my labels printing very large and on multiple
pages?
- Answer: It sounds like perhaps you did not
RESTART YOUR COMPUTER after downloading the program. Close
the barcode program and restart your computer and everything
should be fine.
-
- I can't
remember my seller number?
- Answer.... Email Tess (fourmfarm@academicplanet.com
) and she will give you your number. TIP... In the barcode
program, click the disk next to the seller number and it
will save your number!! Everytime you open the program
your number will show up... no more need to
remember!!!
-
- I messed up and typed
the Wrong Consignor ID . My
question is - can I just go through and
handwrite the correct number on all my tags?
- Answer: Great question!
NO, do not hand write your consignor
ID because the barcode has embedded the "wrong" ID that you
typed in. Therefore, at checkout the item would ring up with
the wrong ID number. You should run your tags again and make
sure you enter your correct ID number this time. Throw
away the labels with the wrong ID number.
-
- I do not want my items
to go half-price. Why is there no dot showing
up on my price tags?
- Answer: When you set up your Labels make
sure that you uncheck the "allow half-price" box on every
item that you do not want to sell for half-price on
Saturday. You
cannot add a "Red Dot" with an ink pen because the
"Red Dot" is an embedded code in the barcode that tells the
computer not to allow the item to go half-price.
- If you have
un-checked the "allow half-price" box and the dot is still
not showing up on your tags, the problem is that your
printer is out of colored ink or does not print in
color.. In this case you can add the red dot because
the barcode has embedded a code that will not allow the item
to sell half-price. Because the ½ price feature is
embedded in the barcode, double check and make sure you have
marked the barcode to NOT BE SOLD HALF PRICE before
adding the red dot by hand. Be cautious when fixing
this problem!
