TAGGING YOUR ITEMS

ALL ITEMS MUST BE PRICED WITH 3 X 5 INDEX CARDS.

You will need: Index cards, Safety Pins, and  Address labels (1" x 2  5/8 ') Avery 5160, 8160 or similar.

Please hand write the Size, Brand and Description in the top/center of the card.  Proper description of your items will help us to accurately display and find the item on the rack should a tag come off. Include size, name brand and color. (No S, M, or L please! Estimate a number size.) Your barcode label goes across the bottom of the index card. 
When pricing your items, you will indicate whether or not your items should go half price on Saturday.  That information must be embedded in each barcode.  The program will know to keep your items full price and will print red/black dots on your labels when you uncheck the box beside the price in CCClabeling program. We can not hand write red/black dots!! (see paragraph 10 of the instructions page)

                Items that are half price will NOT have a dot.   "Dot Means NOT"

Use only one inch or larger safety pins to attach tag. No straight pins or staples please. Also, no small gold pins will be accepted. These pop open easily. Attach pin ONE TIME THROUGH THE CARD --It should be centered at the top of the card.

You will know your cards are done right when they look like this:

CLOTHES must be hung with the hook pointing to the left and the tag on the right shoulder if you are facing it. (Make a question mark with the hanger.) YOU MAY USE ANY HANGERS YOU HAVE - WIRE INCLUDED.... Please feel free to use wire hangers on the smaller clothing as  well. All clothing items must be grouped by size and gender. Only up-to-date, current fashion clothing items will be accepted for this sale. Please inspect your items carefully. Clothes that are outdated, soiled, stained, faded or with holes will not be accepted. CCC reserves the right to deny any unacceptable items. We accept Girls sizes preemie through Junior size 13. Boys sizes preemie through size 20.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. PLEASE REFER TO ILLUSTRATIONS. USE ONLY 3X5 INDEX CARDS. NO OTHER SIZE CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Any guidelines not followed will have to be re-done by you before inspection can be completed. By following all of these instructions you will limit the time spent by you and the other consignors checking in.

PRICING:   You set the Price!  Price to sell keeping in mind the quality, name brand and condition of your items. CCC suggests starting at 1/4 of the original price. Price your items in   $ .50 increments. CCC reserves the right to price any item that has not been priced or has lost it's barcode.  We will help with larger items if you have a question... Remember there are an abundance of items 0-18 months.  Most are barely worn and in good condition, given as gifts, etc. PRICE COMPETITIVELY.....and allow you items to go half price. 

$2.00 RULE:  All items must pass a $2.00 rule. Meaning if it can't bring $2.00 on it's own, pair it with something that will.  You may bag several like items such as bibs, burp towels, socks, and like toys (power rangers, cars, etc.). We will not accept kid's meal toy bags or grab bags of miscellaneous toys.

SHOES: should be placed in ziploc type bags. If they are too large, you may tie/attach them together. Laces and shoes must be in excellent condition. Attach tag with a LARGE safety pin through shoelace eyes or to the inside of the bag. Only your best will sell!

LOOSE ITEMS: like bibs, cloth diapers, bottles, bows, etc. Must be in clear Ziploc type bags with the tag attached to the INSIDE of the bag with a safety pin. We suggest using clear packing tape for securing the bags closed. This prevents "little" hands from reaching in.

MOVIES:  We accept child/family friendly movies rated G or PG ONLY.

TOYS, FURNITURE, EQUIPMENT: must be in working order (batteries included) and clean. Small parts should be bagged and taped to the main part very securely. Use HEAVY tape. A packers tape is the best. Batteries must be included with all battery operated items. Again, use clear packing tape for securing the bags closed so "little" hands can't reach in.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT:  Baseball, Basketball, Hunting, Fishing, Camping.....All sporting and outdoor equipment must be in good shape, no broken pieces or parts.

SETS: Pin sets together with pants pinned to the hanger at the waist- with the right side facing outward. (both pieces can be viewed without unpinning the garment)

PANTS: skirts, shorts, bloomers, etc. should be hung at the waist at the top of the hanger. They should look like they are hung on a skirt hanger. This prevents them from sliding on the hanger and falling on the floor.                            

MATERNITY CLOTHES Only up-to-date, current fashion maternity will be accepted. We will accept your 20 best pieces, any season. Again, sets sell better. Only up-to-date, fashionable maternity items bought within the last 3 years will sell. Well worn older items will not be accepted.

JUNIORS  Only up-to-date, current fashion juniors items will be accepted.  They need to be something a JR High or High School girl would wear.  JR sizes are odd numbers - 3, 5, 7... We will only be accepting your best 20 items, bought within the last 2 years.  When pricing these items if you will put JR next to the size it will help us to get them on the right rack - and you a better chance of selling them.

Unacceptable items will be returned to you.  Get your tagging supplies and hangers from Dollar General Stores, Dollar Tree, and Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has the great wire coated hangers in children sizes 12/$.88. Most cleaners will give you hangers if you ask.

Spending a little "extra" time getting your items ready will mean more money for you. Items that are cleaned, starched and ironed with all pieces attached, sell much better and for more $$$! Presentation is important!

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

We are a seasonal sale and accept seasonal items.  This means FALL & WINTER items for the FALL sale and SPRING & SUMMER items for the SPRING sale. They must be in current fashion and in good condition. NO STAINS, RIPS, HOLES, BUTTONS MISSING, ETC.  Please help us maintain a high quality of items by bringing only your best.  Only bring those things that you would be willing to buy. We accept blue jeans, khakis and short sleeve shirts year round.  Here are some examples:

We accept any season Maternity bought in the last 3 years . We receive a LARGE number of maternity items. With large department stores, Motherhood, etc.  maternity items are easier (and less expensive) than in the past.  Please remember that only the best and newer styles will sell.  Those items that are worn, faded, or out of style WILL NOT SELL. We will only be accepting your best 20 items.

We receive a tremendous amount of infant items - up to 12 Mo. Please bring only your best and keep in mind that there is a lot of competition when you are pricing these items.
